This concept is a specialized version of

**ConvFrac%**or

**ConvFracDeci**. Specifically, we are looking for denominators that are factors of 1000--for example, 125, 200, or 250.

**How to Solve:**

- Decide how many times the denominator goes into 1000.
- Multiply that number by your numerator.
- Divide by 1000, and convert to a % if necessary.

**Example 1: 6/125 = ___% (decimal)**

- 125 goes into 1000,
**8**times - 8 x 6 =
**48** - 48 ÷ 1000 =
**.048**, which is**4.8**%.

**Example 2: 7/200 = ___% (decimal)**

- 200 goes into 1000,
**5**times - 5 x 7 =
**35** - 35 ÷ 1000 =
**.035**, which is**3.5**%

**Example 3: 9/250 = ___% (decimal)**

- 250 goes into 1000,
**4**times - 4 x 9 =
**36** - 36 ÷ 1000 =
**.036**, which is**3.6**%

**Example 4: 200 ÷ 625 = ___ (decimal)**

- 625 is 5/8 of 1000, so it goes into 1000,
**8/5**times - 8/5 x 200 = 200 ÷ 5 x 8 = 40 x 8 =
**320** - 320 ÷ 1000 =
**.32**

**Example 5: 350 ÷ 875 = ___ (decimal)**

- 875 is 7/8 of 1000, so it goes into 1000,
**8/7**times - 8/7 x 350 = 350 ÷ 7 x 8 = 50 x 8 =
**400** - 400 ÷ 1000 =
**.4**
